Matt, a local Cromer boy, started his journey in the industry aged 13 and quickly mastered the game. He completed his traineeship in 2019 at Cromer, where he currently holds the course record.
Over the past 4 years, Matt has honed his skills on the Gold Coast and has most recently been coaching at Precision Golf in Cromer. He has experience in operations, coaching and management, with his dream of being Head Professional and running his own pro shop now being realised. He is passionate about growing the game, and will bring enthusiasm and fresh ideas to the club.
Matt is a certified NDIS coach and actively promotes inclusion in golf, working closely with All Ability Players. He also intends to focus on building ladies golf and nurturing junior golfers through fundamental skill development, implementing clinics and creating a fun environment to learn.
Continuously expanding his knowledge, Matt, a TPI certified professional, not only understands the mechanics of the golf swing but also the intricacies of how the body moves. Whether you’re a seasoned pro looking to refine your swing or a newcomer to the game, a lesson with Matt and his FlightScope will have you improving in no time.

GIRLS GOLF SCHOLARSHIP 2025
We have an exciting opportunity for young female golfers! Balgowlah Golf Club & Generation Golf have secured funding from the Australian Golf Foundation to offer 11 scholarships for girls aged 9-16 in 2025.
This amazing program includes: 24 coaching sessions with PGA Pro Matt Grenot, a free 1-year junior club membership with playing rights, opportunities to join club competitions and get a handicap

BALGOWLAH LADIES’ CLINIC – PATHWAYS PROGRAM
Learners Clinic:
6-week program commencing March 2025 (7hours tuition)
Cost: $249
Sundays: 11.30am – 12:30pm starts March 2 or Tuesdays: 11.30am – 12:30pm starts March 4
The Beginners Clinic will teach the basic fundamentals of golf including grip position, stance and posture, alignment, aim, putting fundamentals and basic rules of the game. Together we will work towards an on-course Ambrose game which will be held on the final week of the 6-week block (2-hour session).
Provisional Clinic:
6-week program commencing March (8 hours tuition)
Cost: $279
Sundays: 2:00pm – 3:00pm starts March 2 or Tuesdays: 1:30pm – 2:30pm starts March 4
The Provisional Clinic is for intermediate players familiar with the game. We will progress skills from the Learners Clinic developing techniques and refining mechanics giving players greater confidence on the course. Swing mechanics are taught with sessions targeting the chipping and pitching.
Oh, and did we mention, we finish each session with a complimentary coffee or glass of wine!
